The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For something this new, that range is not narrow.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That would round things out when it lands.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with the Edge account pricing and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. It should inform your decision.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.
